For as long as I can remember, my dad has been working as a mortgage and protection adviser and the passion he has for what he does made me realise my potential interest for a career in finance, more specifically a mortgage adviser. Inspired by the work he does to help clients achieve their financial goals, I decided to apply to, and was accepted into, the CeMAP programme, which I started in August 2021 and I passed the exams in January 2022.
For the last 11 years I have been a member of the 22nd explorer unit for scouts. Within this environment, I was able to build social and teamwork skills, which I believe will help me further on in my financial career. Being part of the explorer unit led me to pedal car racing and I was put on the under 18s team and competed in the British pedal car championship and I raced for 3 years and in 2 of those years, I was a part of the international championship winning team for U18’s, each championship consisted of 8 different races, the longest race was a 24 hour and the shortest race was a 3 hour sprint race. My time at Miller Financial Planning so far has been brilliant and I look forward becoming a mortgage and protection adviser.
